Winemaking for Matthiasson is a natural extension of farmin. They are a small family-run winery with no outside partners or investors, which gives them the independence to produce great wines organically and without compromise. The Linda Vista vineyard is nestled in the Oak Knoll District of Napa, which is a cooler climate, but with plenty of sunshine. To create the fine balance in this rich Chardonnay, 80% of the grapes are picked early for crisp acidity and 20% later for more lush, ripe notes. The palate is electric with flavors of tangy lemon, golden apples, and a hint of butterscotch.
