Chardonnay gets a bad rep because of an overproduction of over oaked, over buttery-tasting wine that is in the market. When I taught Intro here at the shop, my biggest statement was “you don’t hate Chardonnay, you haven’t found the right one for you!” It is my favorite white grape in the world and there is a reason sommeliers often love the wine. If you find yourself of the opinion you don’t enjoy Chardonnay, I urge you to start with these bottles. Pierre Peters is one of the best quality Champagnes at this price point.
