After the unexpected death of his father, Gerhard Pittnauer took over the family winery.  After a few experimental vintages and studying winemaking trends in the international wine scene, he realized that the wines he loved were created biodynamically. He converted his entire operation to organic, sustainable practices and minimal intervention winemaking. With the help and guidance of his wife Brigitte, he works 15 hectares, half owned and half leased. This skin contact blend is fermented in barrique and amphorae, fully embracing all of the wild aromatics of these grapes. Tropical fruit and blossoms, orange peel and pith on the palate is met by honeyed fruit on a fun, vibrant palate.
