Vivanterre is a project founded by a group of friends with the goal of creating delicious, sustainably produced natural wines. The ‘MVB’ Gamay is sourced from three vineyard sites: one in Moulin-à-Vent, one in Brouilly, and one from the home vineyard of winemakers Patrick and Justine. The winemaking approach is minimalist—whole cluster fermentation, aging in a combination of clay amphorae and used oak barrels, and finished with no fining, no filtering, and no added sulfur. The result is an energetic wine with flavors of overripe raspberries, black cherry, decaying violets, and a savory earthiness.
