The Tezza family has been producing wines in the Valpantena and Valpolicella regions for three generations. The winery was established in 1960 and is now operated by three cousins, Flavio, Vanio, and Federico. Each of their wines are produced from estate grown fruit and vinified in a traditional style specific to Valpolicella. The ‘Ma Roat’ is macerated, fermented and aged in steel vats, then refermented on amarone must, which adds richness and power. It’s a lovely ruby red color with aromas of violets, raspberries and blackberries with chocolate, peppery spice and licorice on the palate. This is a great introduction to the classic wines of Valpolicella.
