Prunelle de Navacelle lends her name to an exciting project in the up-and-coming village of Latignié and Regnié, the newest cru in Beaujolais with status awarded in 1988. She farms and produces her wines on her family’s estate, which they have owned since 1482. These grapes are handpicked and undergo semi-carbonic maceration and a gentle pressing to maintain vibrant, fruit-driven aromatics. This Gamay spends one year in used barrels and is bottled unfined and unfiltered. There are ample notes of plum and blackberry fruit balanced by soft tannins and a savory earthiness. This is punk rock Beaujolais at its best!
