Husband and wife team, Ross and Bee Maloof, quit their day jobs in 2017 and relocated to the Dundee Hills to fully dedicate themselves to winemaking. They source their grapes from small vineyard sites around Oregon, working closely with organic and biodynamic farmers to create uniquely energetic wines. The grapes for this wine are sourced from Haaken Lenai Vineyard, previously named Thistle, which was Ross and Bee’s first vineyard contract back in 2016. They call this cuvee ‘Thistle’ in honor of the original name. Aromas of white flowers and citrus zest introduce a clean, crisp palate of lime pith and tropical fruit. Sur lie aging provides texture and weight to balance out the striking acidity.
