The region of Bierzo is ancient, tiny, rural, and remote. While this region has a long history of growing grapes, it has only gained international attention as a serious wine growing region in the last 30 years. This wine is made in Bierzo Alto, where the Godello grape is orignially from. This part of Bierzo has mineral laiden mountians where the vineyards are sewn into the slopes. Apples and peaches interchange with briny and bright flavors to wake the palate. Hints of fuji apple and salted cantaloupe play with a crisp citrusy finish that ignites and invigorates this medium-bodied wine.
