‘Lieu-dit’ is a French term for a small, named parcel of land cared for by dedicated growers. Sommelier Eric Railsback and winemaker Justin Willett chose this name for their winery as an homage to smaller production winemaking and making wine in a classic ‘Old World’ style using solely Loire Valley varietals. They believe the ocean influence in both the climate and soil of Santa Barbara is perfect for growing both red and white grapes from the famed French region. Their rosé is bright, refreshing and perfect for sipping outside with friends boasting notes of ripe raspberry, orange zest, and cherry blossoms. We are huge fans of Lieu Dit here in the shop, and this is one of our favorites!
