Grüner Veltliner is an extremely versatile grape, capable of light, lean, mineral driven, highly acidic wines on one hand, and big, rich, full-bodied, intense whites on the other. Landhaus Mayer’s offering is an excellent example of a well-balanced style that hits right in the middle - neither too light nor too heavy. Pear and peach fruit mingles with light floral notes on the nose. The fruit and floral flavors follow through on the palate, along with white pepper aromatics for which Grüner is well known. Balanced acidity creates its cleansing mouthfeel and a dry and fresh finish.
