Region: Goriska Brda, Primorska, Slovenia Grape(s): Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia, Sauvignonasse Drinks Best: Now - 3 Years
The Brda winegrowing region is uniquely located where the Alps meet the Mediterranean. The picturesque, terraced hillside vineyards are graced with warming ocean breezes that ripen grapes during the day and cold mountain air that preserves freshness at night. The Krasno Orange is a blend of white grapes, each fermented separately in contact with their skins - the Rebula spends twelve months, while the Malvasia and Sauvignonasse see one month. The result is a beautiful light amber color with fragrant aromas of ripe pear and wild flowers. The palate is textured with notes of melon, thyme, and ripe citrus fruit while the lingering finish keeps you coming back sip after sip.
