With meticulous care, Manciat, one of the most dedicated vignerons globally, produces limited quantities of pure Chardonnays from select Maconnais vineyards. His Saint-Véran, the smallest of his productions, originates from sandy, limestone-rich plots in Davaye and Prisse. Implementing integrated pest management, hand harvesting, and whole-cluster fermentation with native yeasts in used French oak barriques. This natural, unhurried approach yields a sophisticated style of white Burgundy. The nose tantalizes with scents of spiced pear, crisp apple, hints of flint, delicate white flowers, and elusive white truffle, paving the way for a luxuriously rich finish.
