Unlike some of the Piedmont’s big and muscular wines, the Vairas design this cuvee to be a delicious wine that’s best enjoyed in its youth. To achieve this, they blend juice from their younger vines sourced from vineyard holdings across the Langhe hills. Its exact makeup varies from year-to-year, the blend is dependent on which varietals flourished in a given vintage. Easy going and fresh, it bursts with bright red berry and cherry fruit, and is accented with notes of wild herbs and sweet spice. It’s no wonder this has been one of our best-selling reds across the multiple vintages we’ve had in the shop.
