Fio Wines is a collaborative project between two families from completely different parts of the world. The Kettern family has been making wine in the Mosel for several hundred years while the Niepoort family is famous in Portugal for making dry table wines. Half the grapes for this bottling are fermented whole bunch, partially in both stainless steel and in oak. The wine goes under extensive lees aging for a little over a year. It presents lively and energetic with notes of citrus and ripe stone fruits balanced by a moderate acidity. The complexity of this wine makes a real treat for you Riesling lovers!
