In 2012, winemaker Eulogio Pomares and his wife, Rebeca, founded Fento Wines with the intention of showcasing the terroir of Spain’s west coast. They focus on cultivating indigenous Rias Baixas grape varieties using natural viticulture techniques. ‘Bico da Ran’ comes to us from the Salnés Valley that is heavily influenced by its’ proximity to the Atlantic Ocean which imparts a lovely oceanic minerality in the finished wine. This wine is a beautiful expression of Albariño - fresh and lively with flavors of lime zest and tropical fruit to balance the salinity and chalky acidity.
