Domaine Rozel 'Les Frangins' Syrah 2023

Brothers Matthieu and Bastien Rozel farm the Northernmost tip of the Southern Rhone valley. (“Les Frangins” is an informally affectionate term meaning, “the brothers.”) This wine is a medium-bodied red bursting with juicy blueberry and cherry flavors with the brambly, herbal notes that are typical of the region. Velvety tannins add structure to the fresh, fruity quality of the wine. It is very easy-drinking and wonderfully combines the ripeness of Southern Rhone and the perfumed quality of the Northern. Great to sip on its own or pair it with a hearty cassoulet or stew. A great  introduction to the region that is most famous for Cotes du Rhone and Chateauneuf-du-Papes.
