Since 1870, the Voillot family has been farming in Pommard, Volnay, and Mersault. Jean-Pierre Charlot took over in 1980 and started pursuing more sustainable winemaking practices – he eliminated all chemical pesticides and herbicides, reduced sulfur additions, and reduced aging in new oak. The 2019’s are Etienne’s - Jean-Pierre’s nephew -  first vintage on his own and they are drinking beautifully! The ‘Les Pèzerolles’ cru is arguably the most ageable of Etienne’s wines, yet it is singing with fresh aromatics and a lengthy palate that you can feel free to enjoy today. Peppery spices are complimented by a softer, silkier red fruited palate and a long, complex, intriguing finish.
