Tucked between Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis is a hidden gem of the Côte d’Or, that often escapes the spotlight. Among its prized Premier Crus is Les Sorbets, a gently sloping vineyard just below Clos de Tart, named for the Rowan trees - ‘sorbiers’ - that once bloomed there. From a small parcel less than an acre, Olivier Guyot, whose family has tended vines since the 16th century, crafts expressive Pinot Noir with a deep respect for nature. His organic, horse-plowed vineyards and hand-harvesting reflect a thoughtful, time-honored approach. Aged in neutral oak and bottled without filtration, this wine unfolds with ripe red fruit, delicate florals, and a stony elegance.
