In 1988 Isabelle and Arnaud Guicharde acquired their family estate - a planting of 37 acres of now 50+ year old vines. After reorganizing the vineyards and converting to organic and biodynamic farming, they have been crafting elegant wines of the Rhone Valley that speak of place with attention to harvesting grapes that are best suited to their estate’s terroir. This wine is aged in concrete, seeing no oak, thus keeping the purity of the fruit in tact. Woodsy herbs, potpourri, dark plum and blackberry on the nose give in to more purple plum and black cherry on the palate, Moderate blue-skinned fruit tannin is complimented by black pepper spice on the finish.
