Brothers Tony and Miguel Coca i Fito started making wine together in the beautiful high elevation DO of Monsant in 2006. This wine is a blend of old-vine grapes from a variety of different soils in the region. The wine is aged in either French or American oak barrels for three months and then for one year in underground cement vats. Grenache dominates the  blend, so expect a fresh, red-fruited wine--red plums and chocolate-covered cherries--with earthy, savory undertones provided by the Syrah and Carignan influence. A great food wine with medium body and soft, velvety tannins.
