Obalo Las Arenas Reserva 2017 is a full-bodied Rioja named after the sandy soils (“arenas”) of the vineyards where its old-vine Tempranillo thrives. The wine is the result of selecting the oldest plots on the historic slopes of Rioja Alavesa, where generations of winemaking have evolved. This careful selection produces an intense, long-lived wine that, after five years in the bottle, reaches its peak, offering remarkable nuances and elegance. With rich blackberry and plum, layered with leather, tobacco, and sweet spices, the wine is further enhanced by 16 months in French oak, resulting in smooth tannins and a long, refined finish. This Reserva is a true expression of Rioja’s timeless quality and character.
