Located in the heart of Goriška Brda, the Blažič winery has a rich history dating back to 1890 when Peter Blažič arrived from Austria-Hungary and  purchased the farm with ancient terraced vineyards, where generations have thrived on grape and fruit cultivation. Today, Borut and Simona Blažič oversee the cultivation of 25 acres of vineyards with two-thirds of their vineyards in Slovenia and the remaining third across the border in Italy. Among their offerings is this skin-contact Tocai Friulano, locally referred to as 'Jakot,' sourced from organically farmed, steeply sloped vineyards. Aromas of apricot, nectarine, and peach lead to a vibrant palate of stone fruit and tangerine with a long, textured finish.
