In 1993, 21-year-old Bernhard Ott moved back home to his family’s estate in Wagram, Austria to manage the winery. Since 1889 his family has been growing and producing wine here, however things have changed a bit since Bernhard has taken over. He replaced the old wooden casks with stainless steel and began working the vineyards with organic and biodynamic practices. The ‘Am Berg’ Grüner is sourced from vineyards with loess soil which is perfect for the cultivation of this classic Austrian grape. This is a light but textured wine with plenty of freshness and classic notes of green apple, honeydew melon, lime zest, and a touch of white pepper and herbs on the finish.
