Since the 1670s, the Clüsserath name has been a byword for quality wine in the Mosel. Now under the tenure of Eva Clüsserath, they are known for producing some of the finest Riesling in Germany. Working alongside her father, Ansgar, she is at the helm of the winemaking processes at the winery while her father is still known to be the ‘handyman’ of all things. The ‘Vom Schiefer’ cuvée showcases everything that Mosel drinkers love in their Rieslings starting with an aromatic nose full of ripe, fleshy citrus fruits and a hint of petrol. This off-dry presentation carries a great amount of acid that make it perfect for pairing with food or drinking by itself. We love supporting women winemakers!
