Adelaida 'Signature Series' Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

The Adelaida winery, located in the Santa Lucia highlands, was originally purchased by Don and Elizabeth Van Steenwyk in 1971 as a family getaway. Winemaker Jon Munch produced the label’s first wine ten years later.  The Viking Estate Vineyard was planted in 1991 and is gaining a reputation among California wine collectors and producing wines of considerable intensity and length.  This Cabernet Sauvignon is matured for 20 months in 65% new French oak barrels.  The result is a wine of deep ruby color showing classic Cabernet aromas of cassis, leather, and tobacco complimented with high tones of dried thyme and sage.  This wine is ready to drink now but will certainly age for more than a decade in your cellar.
