It is said that one can tell how involved Kermit Lynch is with a wine he imports by how prominently he name is displayed alongside the producer. This certainly holds true for this wine. Henri and Kermit met serendipitously in the late 1980’s at a crowded restaurant when they were sat together due to a lack of tables. Henri invited Kermit to taste his wines and the American has imported it ever since. This wine displays the classic ripeness of the Mâconnais with notes of Anjou pear, green apple, and honeysuckle, but high limestone content in the soils bring an intense chalky minerality like that of Chablis.
