Region: Styria, Austria Grape(s): 50% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Blanc, 10% Pinot Gris Winemaker: Bettina Strauss Drinks Best: Now - 1 Year
The Tscherne-Strauss family vineyards are located in Styria, known as “the Green Heart” of Austria thanks to the extensive forest land that covers the rolling Alpine hills throughout the region - a landscape ideally suited to crisp, refreshing white wine grapes, and the key to the bright and mineral tones of the wines. Bettina and her husband Gustav currently run the family business where they have been farming for over 200 years. This wine is Bettina’s project, and the grapes are carefully selected for this cuvée by her hands to create a house style with traditional Burgundian grapes. Fresh and easy-drinking with orchard fruit and texture, this wine is meant for everyday drinking.
