Based in Langelois in the heart of the Kamptal appellation in Eastern Austria, Karl Steininger is the patriarch of his family run estate. From their own vineyards, Karl and his family not only make superb still wine, but are well-known for their single varietal Sekts - traditionally made sparkling wines. Their Grüner Sekt showcases all the delicious aromas and flavors we expect from a quality Grüner wrapped in a package of fine bubbles that we seldom see outside of Champagne. Aromas of yellow apples and white flowers explode on the nose. Minerality, classic white pepper, and bright, fresh citrus burst through notes of stone fruit that leads to a light, dry, and beautifully frothy finish.
