Pierfranca Lattuada and her son enjoy the seclusion and natural peacefulness of their Pietralta farm. With only about 15 acres of planted vines, the rest of the property is left to nature; olive groves, forests and wild boar, as seen on the label. Their traditional, easy-drinking Chianti, like all their wine, is made from sustainably farmed – the vineyard is still plowed by horse - native grapes, and is not over manipulated in the cellar.Floral notes on the nose lead to perfumed, ripe red cherryand wild berries on the palate. Predominently Sangiovese, this blend is a textbook expression of a classic Chianti, and finishes with just enough tannin to give it structure while staying fresh andjuicy.
Pairings: Pizza margherita with fresh mozzarella and torn basil
