This structured Barolo is crafted from 7- to 35-year-old Nebbiolo vines planted in the prestigious communes of Castiglione, Monforte, Barolo and Novello. This Barolo shows a great balance between modern approachability and traditional styling.  The vintage shows all the telltale Nebbiolo aromas and flavors of cherries, roses and earth, but remains approachable with punchy and juicy red fruit. 24 months in cask softens the tannins slightly while imparting subtle spice to this bottling, which represents an excellent introduction to the masterfully crafted series of Barolos that Vietti offers.
