Regular price $20.00Pra 'Otto' Soave Classico 2022
Region: Soave Classico, Veneto, Italy
Grapes: Garganega
Drinks Best: Now - 1 Year
Nikki's Notes:
It's hella hot outside so I want my wine hella cold, like out-of-the-fridge cold. Italy has been really drawing me in as of late and this Soave (swah-vay) was a knockout when I took a bottle home. Graziano Pra is a benchmark producer of Soave and helped launch the appellation in the 80s. This medium-bodied Garganega is highly aromatic with green fruits such as kiwi, ripe green pear, and Granny Smith apples with just a hint of fresh marcona almond. The palate is wildly crisp and carries an acidity that really livens up the palate. Salute!

What do I like to drink?
My personal order of operations tends to be to choose the wine first, and the food second. With that being said, I am going to naturally lean towards something that is higher in acidity and has plenty of fruit to stand up to food, but not overpower it. I drink it all from Vinho Verdes to a glass of a big Nebbiolo. But as the weather changes, so does my style of wine. Find me in the summer with Txakoli Rosé and in the winter with a bottle of Petite Sirah.
