The wines from Mount Etna are one of the more unique and distinct of the world. Grown on the side of an active volcano, the vines live in soils that have gone through thousands of years of eruptions, forever changing their landscape and character.  At Terre Nere, their near 40 acres are spread throughout the region, including some of the highest elevation vines in all of Europe in the Guardiola vineyards. Their entry level wine is a classic example of how the native Nerello Mascalese allows the readily distinguishable volcanic minerality to shine. Bright red cherry, raspberry, and an ashy grittiness fill the palate which carries a fresh, vibrant, lifted finish. This bottle celebrates the 20th anniversary of the cuvée.
