Although most domestic wineries have a relatively short lineage, in line with the short history of winemaking in the United States as compared to the ‘Old World’, Domaine St. George has been crafting wine for some time now and has developed their own winemaking genealogy. In fact, owner Somchai Likitprakong is father to one of our favorite California ‘new wave’ makers, Kenny of Hobo Wine Co. In Healdsburg, their winery and their grapes soak up the sun to produce ripe pear, melon, and mango on their Chardonnay. The small oak treatment provides a soft, round palate, making it an easy porch or dinner companion.
