This estate is located right next door to the most famous name in Brunello history, Biondi Santi. Caroline grew up in the German speaking area of Alto-Adige where she managed an enormous, 600 year-old vine that is one of the oldest and largest existing vines in all of Europe. Her partner, Jan, grew up in Germany. Together they made the decision to move to Montalcino to study and grow Sangiovese. This wine macerates for 4 weeks with the skins and then is aged in barrels for 42 months. Boasting plums, fresh lavender, and vanilla on the nose, the palate rounds out with refreshing acidity  and well integrated tannins.
