Nicolas and Miren de Lorgeril are 10th-generation direct heirs of Bernard de Pennautier, who founded the winery in 1620. Shortly after it opened, King Louis XIII visited the château and was so impressed by the hospitality of his host that he gifted them his travel furniture, which remains on display at the château today. With nearly 400 years of history, the winery focuses on honoring the family legacy while showcasing the Languedoc terroir. This estate Chardonnay is a classic example, with a small portion of the wine matured in new oak barrels, adding weight and complexity to its approachable aromas and flavors.
