Natalia Jessa got her start as a wine buyer and enthusiast in Poland and Ireland. A student of the “drink it, don’t overthink it” school of thought, Natalia saw the undiscovered potential of many of the top Portuguese wine regions. She now works closely with small farmers growing only local varieties. ‘Prunus,’ is a blend dominated by Jaen, also known as Méncia, and Tinta Roriz, more commonly called Tempranillo. Six months of aging in neutral oak helps to soften the tannins in this juicy, quaffable red. Notes of jammy plum and blackberry mingle with soft spices like anise and cocoa making this a versatile food pairing wine.
