The collective Vignerons Propriétés Associés is part of the movement in Southern France for bringing together winemakers and growers who have decided to craft wines from small production vineyards that are distinctive of place, unlike the mass production that dominates the region. In searching out these cooperative producers, they’ve come across Domaine du Prince, where the red is an artful blend of native Rhone varietals that come together to create a juicy, easy drinking wine, while maintaining complexity of the region. Brambly, black raspberry fruit are joined by a touch of pepper on the nose and palate. The darker fruit, yet medium body makes this wine deliciously versatile.
