Dolin Rouge Vermouth

Maison Dolin & Cie was founded by Joseph Chavasse and named after his son-in-law, Ferdinand Dolin, who inherited Joseph’s original recipes which have remained unchanged since 1821. Dolin’s Vermouth is a product of a base wine infused with local herbs and plants native to the alpine meadows around the town of Chambery that is then fortified with the addition of a neutral grape spirit. This is pleasingly lighter and drier than typical sweet red vermouths, and the color is achieved naturally by caramelizing cane sugar rather than through the addition of artificial colorings.
