Adi Badenhorst is a free spirit. Everything at his Paardeberg winery is done by hand with minimal intervention and with one of the best, laid back ‘let’s just make and drink delicious wines’ attitudes we’ve seen. The Curator series comes from grapes from several of his farmer friends’ vineyard sites in Swartland, and are selected after harvest, making each vintage a different blend based on what Adi wants to convey in the wine – easy drinking, simple, and straight-forward juice. Ample black fruit and black raspberry, a little bramble and South African dirt for structure, and as Adi says, it’s ‘easy to open and to share!’
