Located between the Garonne and Dordogne Rivers, the gently rolling hills of Entre-Deux-Mers are known for producing value whites and simple reds based on the principle varieties grown in Bordeaux. Just outside of the village of St. Michel de Lapujade is 4th-generation winemaker Pierre Boissoneau’s estate, Chateau de la Vieille Tour, where he farms his vineyards organically. Pierre’s Bordeaux Blanc exhibits nice richness compared to the typically light, fresh whites from Bordeaux. The wine is flowery, with loads of orchard fruit aromas and flavors, as well as bright lemon-lime acidity and mineral.
