Outward Wines is a collaboration between Natalie Siddique and Ryan Pace, focused on crafting small-lot, site-specific wines that showcase the diverse terroirs of California's Central Coast. This Chenin Blanc is sourced from the organic Shell Creek Vineyard, one of the first planted in San Luis Obispo County, and is named for its limestone cliffs, rich in marine fossils. Ten days of skin contact impart a soft gold color and enhance the aromas of jasmine, Earl Grey, honeysuckle, and ripe fruits like nectarine and pineapple. The palate offers a peach-fuzz texture with exotic fruit and lingering floral and tea notes. Bottled with minimal sulfur and without fining or filtration, this wine is a balanced, clean expression of natural winemaking.
