Jeff's Staff Pick - Braida Grignolino Limonte 2021
Regular price $25.00Braida Grignolino Limonte 2021
Region: Monferrato, Piedmont, Italy
Grape(s): Grignolino
Drinks best: Now - 2 Years
Jeff's Notes:
With twice the seeds of the average grape, Grignolino would make a mouth-puckeringly tannic red wine if you gave it a full length macersarion. Because of this, the majority of producers pursue a short maceration that yields this light-bodied, pale red with a dusting of fine tannins. It's a year-round red for me, but I am especially excited to bring a bottle or three of this to the Thanksgiving table this year. Drink it with a full chill and enjoy it as it comes up to temperature and opens up with some air. You’ll get a pleasant mix of wild strawberry, cranberry, black tea and gently floral aromas. Throw it in an all-Beaujolais lineup as a ringer and see what you think.

Thanksgiving!
What do I like to drink?
People think I only drink Nebbiolo from Barolo, but I’m *way* more diverse than that. I’ll also drink Nebbiolo from Alto Piemonte.
