DRINKS BEST: Now
Alsatian white wines are long overdue for a revisit. Ranging from rich, full bodied Grand Cru to light, quaffable porch sippers and all points in between, Alsace has been overlooked for too long. The Feu Follet from Vincent Stoeffler leads with aromatics and finishes with a textured, elegant mouthfeel, and in between is all deliciousness. More than suited to serving with a meal, but also perfectly at home just on the porch or a picnic by itself.
Spinach and feta orzo, as a vegetarian dish or a side for chicken
What do I like to drink?
While I fell in love with wine in California, I’m a Francophile at heart – Burgundy, Champagne, Rhone, and Loire account for the majority of my personal drinking. I love balanced wines with layers of flavor, and wines that pair with a wide variety of food. I probably have the most traditional palate on the team, and I’m okay with that.
