David Pehu, a fourth-generation producer, has transformed his 19 acre house in the Grand Cru of Verzenay with a focus on organic farming and single-site expressions. Since joining the estate in 1988, David has embraced a “one vintage, one variety, one place” philosophy. His vineyards span several prestigious Grand Crus, including Verzenay, Verzy, Sillery, Mailly, Bouzy, and a small plot in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Known for his Burgundian approach, David uses both tank and barrel fermentation, experimenting with local oak from Verzy. Brimming with expressive aromas of kirsch, citrus confit, white flowers, marzipan, and tangerine peel. Clean, mineral notes provide a solid foundation, enhancing the wine’s supple, creamy finish.
