A grower since 1750, Moussé is located in Cuisles, a village known for its unique terroir. Here, a rare band of green clay called ‘Illite’ sits beneath sand and other soils, imparting a distinct quality to the Meunier, giving it a singular texture and lift not often found in other expressions. Under the stewardship of 4th-generation winemaker Cédric Moussé, the estate is at the forefront of sustainability, with solar panels and geothermal energy powering the winery. Pigs, chickens, and sheep roam the vineyards, serving as natural stewards by turning the soil and feasting on weeds. Lush and ripe, with aromas of orange marmalade, dried hay, and ripe berries, it leads to a generous and expansive palate.
