In an area with thousands of years of winemaking history, it’s rare to find a “new” property. Yet that’s exactly what importer Neal Rosenthal did with Domaine La Manarine, which was founded in 2001 by the talented vigneron Gilles Gasq. Gilles used his years of experience making wine for other people to carefully select vineyards for his own domaine. His experience proved invaluable, as his wines impressed from the very first vintage. ‘Les Terres Saintes’ is his prestige cuvée, featuring spice and herbal aromatics on the nose followed by warm, ripe cherry and blackberry fruit and mild tannins on its lengthy finish.
