The Vaira family has cultivated Bricco delle Viole, the highest cru in Comune di Barolo, since the 1880s. In 1968, a young Aldo Vaira took over the estate and began his mission to revive his family’s legacy. He achieved a significant milestone in 1971 by securing the first organic certification in the region. This extra-brut rosé is sourced from the Nostra Signora Della Neve vineyard located in Roddino where Barolo and Alta Langa meet. The calcareous soil forces the vines to dig deep, imparting incredible minerality to the wines. Made in the Champagne method and aged on the lees for 48-60 months - this is a serious style that overdelivers at this price point. Aromas of red berry fruit and hazelnut lead to a bright, fresh palate of brioche, tart raspberry, and savory umami notes, finishing with structure and elegance.
