The Rocca family has been growing grapes in Barbaresco for generations, but the winery dates to just 1982. Bruno Rocca was among the first wave of producers who left the Produttori del Barbaresco, spurring on growth of the appellation that eventually put it on the same level as Barolo. With his son, Francesco, taking on more control in the winery, the family is focused less on imprinting the wines with a 'house style' but rather letting every vineyard speak for itself. Currà vineyard is a gem within the village of Neive, yielding a wine with elegant red fruit, freshness, blood orange, and floral notes of violet, and white roses. The texture is always very silky, even in a warm and powerful vintage like 2020.

Pairings: Beef and pork ravioli with butter, fresh sage, and parm
