There are very few winemakers as synonymous with a grape variety as Elisabetta Foradori is with Teroldego. She is a renowned master crafstwoman with this rare grape indigenous to the Trentino region of Northern Italy, where she farms biodynamically and now works with her son, Emilio. This is their flagship wine, first bottled by Elisabetta’s parents back in 1960. The grapes are sourced from estate vines that are hand harvested and partially destemmed followed by 1 year of aging in large, neutral oak. This wine has an intense bouquet of crushed black cherries, sage, dusty earth, and rose petals while the voluptuous and elegant palate features flavors of red berry fruit and a hint of licorice spice.
