Furlani is producing some incredible natural wines from his family’s vineyards sitting high in the Dolomites. He studied agriculture from his father and grandfather with the intention of farming his family’s vineyards. His forebearers used chemicals in the vineyards; however, Matteo started incorporating biodynamic farming. Cantina Furlani’s wines are always fermented without temperature control or sulfur and always with indigenous yeast. This ruby wine lives somewhere between a light red and a deep rosé. Cranberry, pomegranate, red currant, and tart cherries dominate the palate. Finishes dry, slightly fizzy, and funky fruit forward with a hint of blood orange at the end. Best served chilled and enjoyed outside!
